So we don't have a will. A living will? Is that what it's called? Idk! How do I get one? How do I figure out who to have custody of DS? I know we should have done this already, but it's just one of those things that you don't really think about!
Just research what should be in there, and you can either do it online (zoomlegal), or see an attorney.
We chose to go to a lawyer, but I know that is the expensive route. Don't forget about who should be the beneficiary on your life insurance. Do you want it to go to your LO's guardian, or to a trust setup for your LO? Of course you would put your DH first, but in the event both of you pass Not my favorite topic. I think about the possibility so much that I have extra life insurance on me--- double what most do. I would like DH to be able to stay at home with A if anything happened.

We don't have one yet either. We need to do it soon because I paid extra this year to have special coverage in my benefits to have access to lawyers, etc. So basically I paid $30-40 for the year and can use lawyers for free. Need to do it before the end of the year as I don't want to pay for it again next year!
We need to do it as well. I ended up helping someone out this weekend who I never met before and she offered to do a will for us if we didnt have one...

The best option would be to go to a lawyer. DH and I don't have a will either...we really need to do something about that.
After my dad passed when I was 13 my mom wrote out her directions and signed them and had the document notorized to make it official.
PS- I'm pretty sure a "living will" deals with do not resuscitate orders, life support and those things.
We still need to do ours as well, but DH doesn't think it's necessary
We're lucky enough to have a few lawyers in our group of friends, one of which specializes in family law.
As for the custody thing, that stresses me out to no end. I have no idea where to start with that.
And now I'm stressing out thinking about things...
