I hope its okay that I post here... I've been lurking here for a few weeks "just in case". I have posted this on a few other boards but I'm not finding anyone who even comes close to my situation and I thought I might find someone here.
I'm starting week 8 of bed rest. I was put on bed rest at 15 weeks and if everything goes well I will be on bed rest a LONG time. If I make it to 36 weeks and am on it the whole time, it will be 22 weeks total. I've never even heard of anyone being on bed rest that long! I feel like I have done pretty good so far but I am starting to hit the point where I am getting really down about the situation. I'm not bored- just frustrated, depressed and irritated having our parents around to "help" all the time. I just don't know how long I can do this- I can't even imagine another 8 weeks, let alone another 14.
I feel guilty even thinking this. After losing a baby last year I know this is far better than the alternative. I will do anything possible to keep this baby safe!
Has anyone had to be down this long? How did you not go insane??

I was on hospital bedrest for 24 days before I delivered. However, there was another woman on my floor who had been hospitalized at 16 weeks and was there, in the hospital, for 10 weeks!
GL, and I hope that you're able to keep that baby cooking as long as possible.

I was on bedrest from week 24 to when they delivered at week 32. The only way I got through it were friends + family visits and phone calls! There's only so many books you can read and movies to watch! But friends and family cheered me up!
It's hard... but it's worth it in the end. Hang in there!
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
