if you ebf in a sling?

I am new to wearing baby. I want to be able to feed her in it as well. I am still getting used to wearing her. I've looked up some you tube videos of feeding baby in a sling. It seems that they are all feeding baby while she is tummy to tummy. My lo isn't used to feeding that way at all. So, she has pulled away and just gotten frustrated... which in turn I get frustrated and then end up trying to cover back up (getting my breast pad but on), while trying to soothe her since her feeding was interupted. Then of course wiping her down b/c she ends up being sprayed in the face but my forceful let down. I also have a 6 yr old that I'm trying to keep up with while shopping. Please, if anyone has any advice on how to help. This will help my sanity greatly! TIA

What sort of carrier do you have?  If you are hoping to do more like a cradle position for nursing, the easiest for that would be a ring sling - you can wear baby in the tummy to tummy position and just swing her sideways a bit (loosening the sling first) to nurse.

I nurse often in my ring sling... I can't figure it out in other carriers though!  She's in her "normal" position and I have one hand free to deal with my 8 year old.  Good luck!
