rinse until there are no bubbles?

I always pictured bathtub bubbles, when I heard this.  If you any kind or residue in the water is that still bad?   If it looks like a moderate amount of floaties in the water is that still detergent?  Or could it be minerals in the water?

Re: rinse until there are no bubbles?

  • How quickly do the bubbles dissapate?  if it is quickly it is water agitation, if it takes longer it is detergent.

  • Minerals in the water won't make bubbles.  Water can't make bubbles without soap, so if the bubbles don't pop immediately, it's detergent.

Nevermind.  I figured it out by looking inside my washer during a cycle.  Brilliant, I know.

  • Just another perspective, I've never checked for detergent bubbles. I've never had ammonia issues, either.
