So, dd will be just a few months shy of 4 when ds is born. She currently is on the passenger side of the car. Are you guys keeping your first where they are or are you moving them over and putting baby where they are?
I moved my son to the driver side and had the infant on the passenger side. With this one, my oldest will go in the third row, my daughter will go behind the driver and I am hoping the baby will go in the middle. If not the baby will be on the passenger side.
Currently DS is on the driver's side. I think I will switch him to the passenger side and put the baby behind the driver so I can see her easily with a mirror. We don't have a middle seat. I'm curious to know what others are doing and if one is more convenient than the other.

At first I had the infant carrier in the middle then once I changed into a convertible seat I put that behind the driver side. This is where it will stay once we have baby and we are hoping that the infant carrier will fit in the middle again otherwise if it doesn't then it will have to go behind the passenger seat. This is the plan so far but I haven't tried it out!
If we don't buy a new car before this baby gets here, DS will have to move from passenger to drivers side and new baby will go on the passenger side. DH has to have his seat all the way back, so an infant seat won't fit behind him. I guess we will probably do the same when we get a new car actually.
When DS was born I left DD where she was. This time around DS is staying where he is and DD is moving to the middle for 3 across. I couldn't imagine having DS close to LO#3... he's a little rough and rowdy little boy.
Unless I get a new car before LO arrived DD is staying where she is, behind the passenger seat because otherwise DH will never be able to drive my car. DD's in a Swedish RF car seat which takes up a decent amount of room. Our next car will have to have more room in the back so they can both RF as long as possible.
We are planning to go three in a row in our middle row (Pathfinder). I could put my oldest in the third row if necessary, but I hate the thought of her way back there by herself. Both DD and DS are still rear facing, so I may have to switch the oldest FF depending on how the seats will puzzle together with the infant seat. Haven't tried to play with it yet.

I am moving DS to the driver's side and putting DD on the passenger side. DS is more self-sufficient, whereas there will be times that I need to reach the baby, or even just to be able to see her in the rearview mirror. Plus, our infant seat pushes against the front seat and the seatback has to stay straight up in my car, so I need to keep her on the passenger side while she is rearfacing anyways.

DS is currently in the middle seat still rear-facing. He will probably be forward-facing when this baby is born, so he will remain in the middle seat (it's the safest seat in the car and forward-facing leaves him less protected) and baby will go either behind me or the passenger seat.
If you want them both on either side of the car then I don't see why you would prefer one behind driver over the other, unless it's a concern with how the seats will fit.

DS is behind the driver's seat now. I guess we will leave him there (he's still RF) and put the new baby on the passenger side. My backseat isn't very large so I doubt I'll be able to get one in the middle and one on the side.
