Where is FFFC?

I don't even have a confession, I just want something interesting to read!

***Whoa*** Did NOT mean to imply everything else on the board is not interesting, just that I really look forward to the confessions each week.

This is probably more of an unpopular opinion.  Little boys and girls that are constantly in smocked clothing look silly to me.  I get a few outfits, but every single day for a little boy to wear a romper is weird.  I wonder if that little boy as an adult will ever have a desire to wear an adult size romper.  Probably not, but that's just what I think.

FFFC - FIL wants DH to help him build a swing set on his property tomorrow.  I really rather DH hang out with us so i'm trying to think of a good excuse where he can't help.  I know this is wrong of me....

My mom insists my son be dressed "like a baby" and not "rico suave" which translates into: the more rompers the better, shorts and shirts are stoopid. ha!!

Not to fuel your fire but I think the fact that you want him home with you is reason enough. But, don't listen to me, as I am currently in an angry phase, lol.

  • My confession: I dropped DD off at daycare this morning but I don't have anything I HAVE to do today. Classes and my internship starts Monday. So I've spent my morning in bed, on Facebook and watching the Big Bang Theory reruns while eating junk food.

My confession - I don't know what "smocked clothing" means, and I hear it a lot around TB.  You mentioned a romper, does it just mean a one-piece article of clothing?

As for your FFFC, I can totally relate.  DH has been helping my own parents build a deck around their new pool for the last three weekends straight.  And last weekend he not only helped my dad on Saturday, but then helped his own dad cut down a tree on Sunday.  I get super jealous because I feel like weekends are supposed to be our family time, even though I know that he's doing the right thing by helping out our parents.

  • A friend of ours was having a boys' night at his place tonight. I insisted DH go. He thinks I'm the coolest wife, but really I just wanted an evening to myself :)

Smocking is a sewing technique where the fabric is pinched/tucked and embellished. (Does that make sense?) Random example (from littleenglish.com): image

    I couldn't find a good boy's example.

So I guess my FFFC is that I loooove smocked clothing. If I had a girl, I'd probably have a few dresses for her. I have one smocked outfit for DS, but DH doesn't like it. I put him in it for some of his 6 month pics and my uncle asked me why he was wearing a dress. (It wasn't a dress, btw.) I only put DS in that outfit when DH is working on Sunday and I take DS to church by myself Stick out tongue I won't buy anymore smocked clothes for him, though, because they just don't really fit his personality.

Ohhhh, ok!  I just google imaged (why didn't I do that in the first place, duh??) and now I get it.  I will say that I don't think that is a good look for boys, if we had a boy, DH would probably not want me to dress him in something like that, haha.
