I woke up last night with some growing pains, no big deal. figured i'd get out of bed and walk around a little, especially since i had been laying half on my back and half on my side so i wasn't entirely comfortable.
i started to feel really faint like i was going to pass out. it was really scary...i thought dh was going to have to take me to the ER. i laid down again, no fever or anything, and dh put a cold cloth on my head. my arms just felt tingly, but they always feel like that (i've had some episodes in the past where i've almost passed out).
i read online that feeling faint is common in some people after the 4 month mark, especially with twins. i think maybe i panicked a little bit too and it just didn't help. i feel better this morning....any cause to be concerned? can anyone relate to this?
Re: Anyone woken up with this?
Yes, early on in my pregnancy I started getting really dizzy and faint feeling when I stood up, especially when getting out of bed. I mentioned it to my doctor and she said it was normal. I think it has to do with the increased blood flow going to your belly and it takes your body time to adjust to this. I also get a very tingly, pins and needles feeling in my right leg whenever I stand for too long. I just learned to be extra careful and take my time getting out of bed. I think these are just normal feelings when your body is adjusting to the pregnancy, but ask your doctor if you are concerned about it.
I went through a period of VS during my pregnancy. It was around 15-20 weeks as I recall. The only thing that worked was laying down on my side and drinking some water.
The good news is that for most people, it passes. Hopefully it will for you!
