Third time's not a charm for us (BFN)

Haven't actually gotten my results from this morning's beta back yet (call window is 3:00-5:00), but I tested at home this morning (12dp3dt) and it was negative.  Woke up to test early enough that I was able to get back in bed with MH for a bit and have several cathartic ugly cries.  Unfortunately, he works late tonight so I won't see him again until tomorrow.  He's off tomorrow and I just submitted a vacation day -- plan to head to the beach or something.  Tonight, I'll probably do my usual IVF failure routine of wine and takeout sushi.

MH wants to get a second opinion elsewhere -- I've agreed to do so, but I doubt we'll get any new insight (my RE was already starting to push DE while stimming this cycle).  I plan to contact S.IRM and a fellow Vet recommended a consult with C.CRM, if for no other reason than to get more info.  I know very little about Cor.nell, but have read they are DOR-friendly -- so perhaps I should contact them?  I live close to Coo.per, but have heard enough on here and IRL to make me hesitant to cycle there.

I also plan to start DE research in earnest.  I'm still not 100% on-board, but have gotten much more comfortable with the idea with each failed cycle.  I've got a lot of research to do though, as there are many details I don't know.

TTC since honeymoon in 9/2010

8/2012: IVF/ICSI #3 EPP/MDLF (7R, 2M, 1F) = BFN

12/2012: (New RE) Operative hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue

1/2013: IVF/ICSI #4 Low-dose stim/Antagonist (AFC=6); ER=1/26 (5R-couldn't access rt ovary, 5M, 4F), ET=1/29 (trans 3) = BFP!; 2/11 beta#1(13dp3dt)=2127, 2/13=3367; twin girls due 10/19/13

I would defnitely get a second opinion.

FWIW, I cycled at Coo.per for IVF #1.  Hated it so much I moved my embies and did FET at another facility.  At the rec of a friend I consulted with Dr. Ch.eck at Coo.per for this cycle and wish I had met him from the beginning.  I don't understand how doctors within the same practice can offer such different perspetives.  Since you live close, it can't hurt to meet with him?...

It just sucks.  You have to see C.heck if you go to C.ooper. But it is hard to cycle there (maybe easier for you not being OOT).  If you have the resources to go to Dr. D.avis at C.ornell, I'd go there.  C.CRM is not very "DOR friendly" to AMA's.

    I'm sorry. ((HUGS))

I cycled at both Coo.per and Cor.nell with Da.vis. I actually did not mind Coo.per - yes the office is a little unorganized but they are doing things that other clinics are not, and I did have a BFP on a single egg retrieval there. I met with Ch.eck as well as several of the other doctors and generally liked them all.

At Cor.nell... it was the only clinic I cycled with that I never got a BFP, not that that means anything necessarily. I liked Da.vis but he was not a miracle worker for me. I also honestly found their waiting room to be a cattle call - definitely not a personal experience there. But I know others are big fans of Da.vis.

If you go the DE route, I recommend IVF.NJ in Somerset. I haven't had success there; although I have had 3 BFPs. They also now offer a guarantee program which unfortunately I was too late to join in on because I would have gotten my money back! And they have a very good DE program and success rate.

SI.RM does immune stuff (intrallipids, etc) if that is something you want to look into. I did IVIG immune treatment with Dr Braver.man in NYC while cycling at IVF.NJ, but I imagine it would be easier to do it all in one place.

    I don't know much about CC.RM so I can't speak about them.

Let me know if you want any more info on any of these clinics. Take the time you need before making a decision. ((HUGS))

You ladies truly are the best!  Thanks so very much for all of your responses.  Again, I'm so happy to have a place to hang out where others understand that all the "symptoms" I was having from 8dpo onward (cramping, vag twinges/pains, extreme tiredness) really often are just side effects from progesterone.  I honestly appreciate the lack of rainbows and butterflies here.

Would like to discuss more regarding some of the suggestions you provided (THANK YOU!), but probably won't be up for that until early next week...will likely just add a new post at that point.

Big hugs, joules.  I'm very sorry.  A second opinion can help both with information and clarity.  We still have an October appointment with School.craft at CC.RM that was supposed to be our second opinion, but when we found a donor we couldn't pass up, the second opinion lost priority.  The DE process is not easy.  If that's what you ultimately decide, I can say that it's definitely taking time for me to adjust.  But I can also say that as time has passed, I've become much more comfortable -- excited even.  Wherever you go, know I'm rooting for you.  More hugs.

Hope you don't mind me posting, but I'm an IF vet from back in the day who also lives in South Jersey.  While not DOR, I'm also AMA and have researched/spoken with  almost every clinic in PA, NY, and NJ:).

My advice is similar to JLYNN's but wanted to reach out and offer support in case you wanted to chat with someone nearby!

BFNs are always tough and hoping for a BFP soon!

TTC since April 2009 dx = PCOS; TTC History for DS - A FET miracle after 7 IUIs; 2 fresh transfers, and 1 other FET resulted in BFNs. Hoping and Praying for baby #2: Cycle 1 - FET; November 2012 BFN Next Steps - who knows? Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

(((hugs))) I am so sorry to hear this and yes, I think a 2nd opinion at this stage is a great idea.
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!
