From birth my LO has loved being rocked and bounced. He went through a period of only being able to fall asleep if being held and bounced, although this is sometimes the case now he is 3 months he's sometimes able to soothe himself to sleep. My question is that although he sleeps well at night in our bed, in the daytime for naps he sleeps much better if being rocked or bounced in his bouncy chair. I have tried leaving him to just sleep and he wakes after 30 minutes in a bad mood whereas if being bounced he sleeps 2 hours and is a delight when he wakes. I feel pressure to stop bouncing/rocking him as he will "never learn how to sleep" otherwise. He just still seems so small and I really do believe everything is a phase. I just wondered if anyone else had a similar experience or any advice?
Given that I wore both my kids for their naps until they were close to 1 (and still wear Eleanor to sleep for naps before laying her down)....I think you are doing just fine
