TTC after 35

Tell me I am worrying for nothing..

So my HSG was uneventful but I have had some very minor achiness/cramps since last night.  It was gone today but now I can feel it again.  It is so minor that I would not even notice except that I know there is the slightest chance of infection with the HSG and it makes me think about it.

For those of you that had the HSG, did you have mild achy cramps for a day or 2 or longer?  I can't mention it to dh because EVERY time I sat slowly or sighed yesterday or was quiet for more than a few mins, he was like "What is it?? Are you ok??" --he was very tense.  Sweet but annoying, KWIM?

So since I have to be like thisZip it! I am asking you all!

Mr Llama needs a punch in the junk right about now. Not enough for lasting damage, just enough that he learns not to bombard you with google horror stories the night before an invasive procedure.

Minor cramps are fine for a few days, as is spotting. If the cramps become deep and throbbing :::insert obligatory prepubescent snicker over 'deep and throbbing':::, or if you develop a fever, then get thee to the doctor pronto.

Tell your DH that he must give you a massage and feed you bonbons in exchange for scaring the crap out of your subconscious. It's only fair.

    All this.

Seriously, did you bombard him with Google horror stories about masturbation-causing-a-penis-to-fall-off the night before his SA?!? What'samattawichyou, Mr. Llama?!?!

  • I had cramping for a few days afterwards. Nothing terribly painful but enough to notice. I would tell the dr if you start running a fever, have odd discharge, or are doubled over in pain. I don't trust Dr Google anymore too alarmist!

  • I definately had crampng for a few days, along with spotting. Try not to worry about it unless as everyone else stated you develop a fever or it gets worse but I think overall the risk of infection is really really low..

  • Mr Llama has since apologized and all is forgiven..

He actually said (after the HSG) that he would have gone with me if I had asked him too... When I literally LAUGHED out loud he looked hurt.  I was like "Yeah you are the LAST person I would take!"  Mr. supportive? Umm..no.

Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes and be a little more cautious with his words when I do something else TTC related.

MH could write it! He's awesome, once he knows I'm not as indestructible and indefatigable as he thinks I am. He knows I like comfort food, comfort TV, and foot massages! And none of his typical shenanigans (he likes to push my buttons to get me exasperated sometimes-- just for fun. Like he hides my food when I go to put something away in the fridge)...
