I feel like we are busting at the seams already with 3...(although welcome this little surprise with open arms!) Just wondering what everyone's idea of a large family is.

5 kids. My grandparents had 10, though, so that may be why I chose more than most people. I'm used to a crowd as is it, so 5 is not huge, but it's more than I feel like I could handle.
My idea of a large family is 8+ kids, but I have 5 myself, and feel that 6 would be a great size for our family (more if I was able to SAH full time). I don't think of our family as "large" but I know many people would.
We want 34. If we had a large income we would probably want more like 56. EDIT: that should say 3 TO 4 and 5 TO 6. Geez the bump wants me to go for a record.
HA... I was like holyshitonastick... that's a huge jump for a larger income.
I originally wanted 4. Realistically we'll probably have 3. If we had boatloads of money, I'd totally have 5 or 6.
I certainly don't consider 4 kids to be a big family, but that may be because I came from a family of 4 kids and 3 or 4 kids is average here. In fact we want 6 kids and most people probably won't even bat an eye at that. I consider 7+ to be a large family.

of course I have three sisters myself, and DH is one of ten kids... so we might have skewed perceptions on what's considered "large". I know most people think four kids are considered alot.
When this baby comes & my stepdaughter is with us we'll be 4. I think that's big but totally doable. More than that seems like it would be too much. There was a time when I thought 4 was way too much too though so who knows!

4 kids is a HUGE family in my opinion.
ETA mtherfckingbump doesn't let you use symbols like the plus sign when using this ridiculous mobile site. I hate the bump.

Amen sister. When I am on my own with the kids at this point, I'm toast-really. I've become the big, bad mama bear that I didn't want to be. : )
I would say 4+.
I want 4 but realistically we will probably stop at 3.
LOL!
I guess 5+ kids seems like a lot. IDK. Never wanted a huge azz fam, though.
This is my siggy. Love it.
Lol, I didn't either, at first. I have friends with larger families than is, and it seems scary to me! Whatever works, right!
Agreed.
