Vivelle dot users, 2 ?s

1. I started Vivelle dot the day after transfer (Monday) & have had intermittent perio-like cramps since yesterday.  Any experience?

2. I know you have to alternate patch site.  I change mine every 3 days.  Since I'm doing PIO shots, would my lower back be a good place to put the patch?  I'm a chunk & don't know if it'd necessarily stay on my tummy.  Right now it's on my crotch area (just below the bikini line) but there's only so much space there...

My last nurse told me anywhere the is fatty tissue (except on the breast) and yes I had cramping last cycle.  Another tip use oil to help get off any sticky residue.

I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013
    PAIF/SAIF always welcome

  • I didn't have cramping, but I was itchy like a mo-fo!

Ditto on the oil to get the sticky glue off. It held on better than other type of patch I've ever had to use!

I put mine all over my stomach.

Thanks Reb! I've been wondering how to get this crap off. I've got rings all over my stomach and scratched myself trying to get it off.

And yes, I got cramps almost immediately after starting the patch. I'm certainly not skinny and I haven't had issues with it coming off my stomach. I just apply it after my shower but before I put on lotion.

After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!

  • I did have some cramping now and again.

I ran the patches in a line along my lower stomach.  Once I reached the other side I started back at the beginning end.  Like a typewriter.
