Random new behavior

The last 2-3 days DD has been very sensitive, crying after minor falls when she normally wouldn't, sobbing over minor incidents (sometimes we have no idea what even just happened) and she acts super sad and comes asks for a hug. Has anyone experienced something similar? Random toddler phase? I've wracked my brain to think of anything that might have triggered it, but besides work this weekend (which I always do) there's nothing I can think of. She told me she had a great weekend with DH and MIL. It upsets me she seems so on edge.

It could be a phase.

LO has been very clingy lateley, and wants 100 hugs when I drop her off at school. The teachers have started saying "give mom one more big hug!". I'll say goodbye, and then they immediately distract her.

If it bothers you too much, give the pedi a call and run the behavior past him/her.

She'll be sick within the next week. My DD does this before she gets sick.

I didn't even think of illness. I keep sticking my fingers in her mouth to feel for molars, but so far all I feel is her biting me. We're going to visit my parents tomorrow for the rest of the week, so I'll see if getting some one on one attention improves things too.

Overly tired?  My DD is a hot mess anytime she needs more sleep - growth spurt, had a big day, etc.
