If you use Playtex Drop-Ins....

Is it possible to mix the formula in the liners? We're going away for the weekend & I thought it'd be easier to take drop-ins b/c we won't be able to wash bottles while we're away. I've never used them though so I wasn't sure if I'd still have to take something to mix each bottle with. Thanks!

  • Adeline wouldn't take them, but Edie still uses them.  I mixed formula in the bottles.  It started to get tough when she was drinking 8oz bottles, but I'm sure that's true for most bottles.  I made sure to get the expandable liners.

  • We used to use them and I would pre fill them with water and then put in the powder formula. So yes, you can shake the bottle and it will mix in. Just make sure the liner is on right so it doesn't leak out.

  • We bought these bottles for traveling reasons, too. It's a lot easier. You can mix the formula in the liners.
  • My SIL always brought them with the right amount of powder in the liner and added room temp water when out. I don't like how my liner doesn't line up with the measurements on the bottle, so I have to pre-measure BM before putting it in. I'm not sure if that'll affect how you know how much water to add.

  • Yes but as Steel said it can be hard to accurately measure the water. I would pre measure the water if possible and have it in the bottle and get one of those little formula containers with the powder pre measured in it so you could just add it and shake.

  • Yeah like steel said it is hard to tell how many oz are in there. I would prefill with water using something else to measure and then add formula as needed
