I like Jasmine and Ariel. I would have to pick Ariel for a child because I already named one of my cats Jasmine. I had a Disney thing going on when I named them... Jasmine's sister is Nala LOL!
The names Disney uses for their animated heroines are usually WAY too much frill and fuss for my taste, but if I absolutely had to pick one, I'd go with Alice (in Wonderland), Daisy (Duck), or Jane (from Tarzan).
Belle is my guilty pleasure name! My daughter will probably be called Mila Belle by me (my dh will probably not) and I can't wait for her to get all of her Belle Disney swag.
It's looking like I'm in a minority, but I voted Esmaralda. I think Esme would be an adorable nn! My sister always wanted to be Pocahontas - she used to walk around the house flipping her around around and singing 'The Colors of the Wind'!
My mom has a friends whose daughters are Jasmine and Aurora. Jasmine actually predates the Aladdin movie. Aurora goes by Rory. I think they're both cute.
Jasmine, Jasmin, Jazmin and Jazmeen are all super popular names for the 14-18 year olds around here,
I loooove Evangeline (Princess and the Frog) and Merida (Brave)
I love both of these too. Evangeline was on my short list by it just didn't flow right with our last name. I voted Aurora but growing up I always adored Belle.
I LOVE Aurora and want that name, but it's to much of a tongue twister for me. Having to say your child's name a million times a day I would be exhausted and would the child be able to pronounce it? And for Giselle use your imagination for the Gis part..I wanted this name too till I came across that.
How about Snowhite and Cinderella? Dh wanted us to name DD Snowhite after MIL. in our country Snowhite is a legit name (it's spelled differently but translates to Snowhite), given that I don't like the name, nor do I like Snowhite that much, and DD was born in July (nothing snow related or even close) thank God we agreed to respect MIL's name in a different way I voted Ariel of this list but I'd def chose Bella if it was on the list.
SS: I like Alice. If I get to use it, it would be a MN. It's a family name.
I don't like any of the Disney princess names. Aurora is pretty, but definitely nms. The rest...meh. I do like the nn Meg, so Megara isn't so bad, but she's not my favorite Disney character.
DS is named after a tv character (DH's choice), and I'm hoping to avoid any other entertainment-inspired names.
I love Aurora. I also like Evangeline (Princess and the Frog).
I know a few toddlers named Aurora and none of them are ruined socially because of their name. My DD is Katherine (Kate) and it sounds like "Kaffrin" when she says it right now. I don't think her self esteem has been impacted at all.

I loooove Evangeline (Princess and the Frog) and Merida (Brave)
We loved Evangeline too, even before we made the Disney connection! DH is from southwest Louisiana and it is a historical name for that area. Of course, with Belle as the middle name, we now have a double-Disney name for our LO!
Giselle was on my list of names for the longest time, even before the movie, but DH didn't like it as much.
We considered Ariella (our last name made it where we needed more syllables than Ariel) but I also love Tiana, from Princess and the Frog..and Jaidis, the White Witch from Chronicles of Narnia (Disney made the move so you could argue it was somewhat of a Disney Name)
Re: Disney Names
SS: Isn't Belle the obvious winner?!
My 4 year old still can't say Aurora correctly. She'd probably be fairly introverted out of embarrassment if I had named her that!
Truth. Though I voted for Aurora. It's a close second for me.
well my name is bella, i don't know if that counts as belle, but they're really close..... i always got belle related princess stuff growing up...
I guess I wanted to offer up something different than the obvious to make it more interesting.
I used to really want a daughter to name Belle. But now all that Isabella stuff is way too over the top for me.
I would totally do Aurora and it's on the list.
Guilty pleasure would have to be Ariel.

I'm really, really surprised no one shares my love of Megara! What a cute name!!
I, too, once planned on naming my daughter Belle...but alas, too many Isabellas.
Ariel is a Hebrew boy's name, I'm pretty sure. It has a much older history as a male name than a female one- remember Shakespeare's The Tempest?
That said, I voted Ariel :P. I like Aurora too!

Giselle is the only one I would even consider!
I don't get the appeal of Aurora. I think it has a really harsh pronunciation.
This + I love the NN Ari for a boy.
