We bought a used one. DD used hers from 6 months until maybe 9 months and loved it, but once she started crawling well, she didn't want to be in it anymore.
My kids LOVED it, so I say YES! After they are too old for the bouncer, it's nice to have somewhere fun for them to play safely when you need to get stuff done. Since your baby is already 7 months, they may not be able to use it for more than a few months, but you can always use it again if you have another.

I put DD in it to take a shower (it stays in the master bathroom) so for me its worth every penny!

My daughter loved her jumperoo. I got some cute pictures of her in it. We got one and it was around $40.00 and worked great. We hung it up on our doorjamb and was secure and safe. She loved bouncing in it. She is a very active little girl and loved jumping in it. We didn't use it until she was around six months old and only used it for a couple of months and then when she started crawling she didn't want to be in it. I was glad it was only $40.00 since we used it for only a few months. I saved it for our second child since it is still like new.

DS absolutely loved his! Can't wait to use it with #2! It was one of the best purchases as far as keeping him entertained between 4 and 9 months of age, so I say go for it!
Unless you can find a good used one, not sure I would buy one at 7mo. DS loved it but didn't use it much after he was cruising around the coffee table. He wanted to be out exploring. It was a useful thing to keep him contained while I went to the bathroom though.
