My baby is seven weeks old, and I'm more than ready to start shedding some of my baby flab. I started using MyFitnessPal and counting calories, and somehow, now I'm gaining weight. Does anyone know what the recommended target caloric intake is for a nursing mommy? Maybe I'm way over, or way under. Either can cause the weight gain.
If you adjust your caloric intake and still don't see results, it's most likely the type of calories and not the quantity that's causing the weight gain.
This exactly. This is why I was seeking some low carb snack options yesterday. I did some googling and found some pretty good options. And too, if used correctly, this is why I like my fitness pal. It does break down the calories and will show you how much of it is from fat, from carbs, from protein, etc.

I didn't lose anything until I weaned DS.... my body clung to every last lb. I just had to except this is how it was going to be while I nursed! Hope you have better luck!
