How old was your preemie before you took your first car trip? If it matters the trip in question won't be occuring for a few months, but is about 6 hours long. We'd obviously stop every couple hours and we'll definitely talk to the pedi first.

Re: When did you go on your first car trip?
Every scenario and baby is different of course, but our daughter when on a 9 hour drive when she was 2 months old. She was even on an apnea monitor. We had prior approval from our pediatrician. We live 9 hours from the closest family (we recently relocated before baby came) and we wanted to have her baptized in the church we grew up in and married in.
So if you feel your baby is ready and you as parents are ready then it will be just fine. She slept great and we fed every 3 hours. Good Luck.
