Tomorrow is the last day of daycare!!!

So hard to believe, after just about 6 years total with my 2 kids, tomorrow is the last day at our daycare center.  I have been so happy with the center for the most part and the few times I wasn't happy, things got resolved to where I was happy.  At this point, due to turnover or people changing centers, only 2 staff members are still there from when I started (the Director and Asst Director started after me but had been at a different location) and a few of the teachers started after me but still had both my kids.

Time to move onto the next chapter and I am thrilled.  DD#1 starts Kindergarten and DD#2 starts PreK.  Both at the same elementary so only 1 drop off/pick up.  We will save money (PreK is a whole $28 less a month but Kindergarten will save us a ton.  We pay $3900 for the school year plus $2125 for before care every day - no after care as DH and I have worked our schedules so we can avoid that).  We will save around $4000 for the school year although it will be somewhat less when we add in the cost of summer care/camp and school release days so we will end up at around $2000-$3000 less depending on what we do for next summer.

Congratulations!! I know how you feel, DS has his last day of nursery school/ day care on Tuesday, and begins Pre K wednesday.

I am both amazed and afraid - we get a three month break untill new baby goes to them it freaks me out ( almost as much as the idea of my mom coming to stay with us for two months freaks me out.)
