Which double stroller? (under $300)

My daughter will be a little over 2 when baby #2 arrives.  I currently have the City Mini for my daughter but I have no clue what to get for both kids that won't cost a fortune.  For the most part I don't use my stroller too often since I'm always putting DD in a shopping cart.  We use the stroller for walks or for trips to the beach, zoo, ect.

I want something that they will both be comfortable in but it won't cost me $400.  I like the sit and stands but if we are out for the day I want a place where my toddler can nap if she falls asleep.

Any suggestions?

I suggest searching craig's list.    IMHO there isn't any substitute for the "expensive" strollers, they are lighter, more versatile etc.  That being said, no one ever said you had to pay full price for one!

I would go a little above $300 and get the city mini double or look on CL for one.. Everyone I know loves it. I saw some on albeebaby.com for around $330 the other day.

We have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand Double- it converts from a traditional double to a sit-and-stand.  It works well, but it is very bulky and heavy.  It fits in my mini-van but not in the trunk of a typical car.  My DD is turning 2 and doesn't often want to ride in the stroller anymore- although we make her do it anyways.  I think a regular sit-and-stand would be fine.  We just took a beach vacation and decided to leave our stroller home and rent a double jogger stroller for the trip.  Lots of amusement parks, zoos, etc. have strollers you can rent if you are worried about big outings.

I agree with checking out CL and waiting for a deal.  I got a BOB Duallie (brand new, it had been used about 3x) for $250 from a woman who got it as a gift and who just didn't want it around anymore.  Her loss (and honestly lack of knowledge of it's worth) was my gain.

I also have a Baby Jogger City Select.  I bought it new at retail but I occasionally see htem used on CL in the $400-$500 range.

I think that the recommendation of the Baby Jogger City Mini (the 2011s are new on Amazon for $379) is a good one.  I also really liked the Bumbleride Indie Twin.  The BIT is about $700 new but, again, search ebay and CL and see if you can get a deal .

i got my city mini double barely used for $200 and it came with the carseat adapter.

Looks like I have to start searching Craigslist :. Maybe if I sell my city mini single on there I can use the for the double

Does anyone have the Joovy Scooter x2? My daughter will be about 10 months old when I have my son and I'm wondering if this is okay to use with a newborn. I have a Graco Snugride carseat so obviously that won't attach but I'm thinking he can lay down in the stroller right? I'm really just looking for something inexpensive bc I know it won't be used a whole lot... The other stroller my mom was wanting to get is the Graco Duoglider. I'm really not impressed with the looks of it, but it was 1 on a review site I looked at. Anyone with either please give me some feedback. Thanks :
