Baby A is breech... :( Didnt want a c secton

It has been about a month and baby A is still breech. B is vertex.. but its a definiteyl c section if Baby a is breech. Im 30 weeks today... I know its still possible but I asked if there's anything we can do to turn her and the Dr said, there's no room to turn a baby the way they do with singletons.. anyone have experience with this?
Should I bother with Accupuncture? Anything else I can try??
I really do not want a csection, but I know Im not calling the shots anymore..

Im deathly afraid of being n labor but its something I wanted to experience and Ive heard the meds from a c make it harder to bf. Im even taking classes to consider natural V birth...

so much prep and it may mean nothing. Sad

  • Take a breath.  You have TIME.

    1.  www.spinningbabies.com

    2.  chiropractor for webster technique

    3.  Acupuncture with moxibustion (may want to call ASAP because they would not see me after 34 weeks - I called too late)

    4.  Pray (well hey running out of options)

My baby B turned head down using all of the above at 35 + weeks.  My baby A remianed breech and I had a c-section at 36 weeks.  Certainly not what I wanted at all - but you get what you get.  The chiropractor really helped my back pain and worked for 50% of my kids.  :)

  • Which breech position?

My MFM (also the on-call OB) told me that they'll do a vaginal birth as long as Baby A is in any position other than breech (except frank breech).  Would they consider letting you deliver vaginally if Baby A is frank breech?

  • Just wanted to say even though I am only a week ahead, my girls are still flipping around. I've also read several incidents here of twins flipping as late as 36 weeks.

Good luck! PP had some good suggestions.

  • My Baby A had been breech the whole time, but at 33 weeks, she had turned.  Unfortunately,  my Baby B flipped to the breech position, and my doctor is hesitant to do an extraction since the girls' heads are above-average.  I hope that I still ahve time for them both to be in proper position.

  • I know its not likely, but for me A has been head down my whole pregnancy and just this past week flipped to butt down. I'm hoping he flips again because I am in the same boat. My doctors office won't deliver vaginally unless A is head down, so if he doesn't move, it's C-section for me too.

But, you might still have a few weeks that A could flip for you!

Extended version in my blog, but:

  • I have no advice for you on turning baby A just wanted to commiserate. My boys were transverse the whole time and wouldn't budge. I spent a lot of time stroking my belly in a counterclockwise pattern hoping they'd get the hint. But the c-section wasn't so bad. Not what i wanted at all, but like you said out of my control. I had a VBAC with Micah and it went great.

  • My baby a was breech on Thursday. Went in today and both were head down. With my two I doubt it will last but it was a first for me. I wouldn't freak out yet. Just take it one day at a time. If you end up having a c/s its not the end of the world. Yes it's not what you really want but having 2 safe babies is way more important. GL hopefully you can get that LO to flip for you.
