Baby K'Tan question

Is the Kangaroo position the only position you can use with a newborn?

I think so- I finally opened my K'Tan and tried it briefly with LO... and we did the kangaroo only!

With a newborn yes that is my understanding. But once the baby starts stretching more (2 month+) then you can also do the hug position.

With a newborn you can do the upright tummy to tummy position with legs either in or out - not sure what the k'tan instructions calls those though ;-)

Just looked it up...either the Kangaroo or Hug is fine for a newborn - I prefer legs out positions personally as it's easier to get a better seat (you don't their weight on their feet) but either is ok.

Kangaroo is the newborn hold, but you can really do the Hug also. some babies prefer to have legs out sooner than others. Love my K'tan!

 OKay.  I am going to try the hug position.  Baby does not enjoy the kangaroo position.
