Need A Simple Ann Arbor/Ypsi Shower Location

Hi there.  I no longer live in MI, so I'm a little out of touch with the local scene.  My mom wants to throw me a shower for about 30 people, but her house isn't big enough to comfortably seat that many.  She and I are trying to think of ideas of restaurants that might have a banquet room or separate area for a shower, that wouldn't be too fancy/expensive.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a restaurant or other venue we could (we could always cater food in) that would be about the right size in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti/Saline area?

Also, the shower won't be until the end of November, so it definitely needs to be inside.  Thanks, in advance for any suggestions!

  • I have been looking into sidetracks in depot town.  There is plenty of space and there food is yummy!  Good luck with your search:)

  • Sidetracks is a good place.

I had my shower at Pizza House in Ann Arbor. No charge to rent a room and the inside is cozy with fireplaces etc. We ordered pizza, salad, and apps and everyone was very pleased. Good luck

  • I had my bridal shower at Paesano's in Ann Arbor.. it's on Washtenaw. They don't charge for the room.. just the food. You do have to pay like $1/person if you're bringing your own dessert but it was nice. I had my baby shower for DS at Joe's Crab Shack. They have a back room that closes off.  Also these..

The Quarter Bistro-  Ann Arbor at the corner of Jackson and Stadium.. they have 2 rooms actually. Not sure on price.

Connor O'neils- downtown Ann Arbor.. they have a really big nice back room. I don't think they charge for the room but do for food.. (I've heard).

Mac's in Saline..my rehearsal dinner was there. They have a nice big basement. No room charge.. just food.

You might try Stone Arch too.. also in Saline.. they are just a venue so you would have to cater there and I'm pretty sure you would have to do tables/chairs too.. I'm not sure if they have that stuff there or not but that's a nice place too.  (It's where the old Calico Cat used to be in Saline).

My mom does wedding cakes/all occassion cakes .. she's a licensed baker in Saline and I've been deliving wedding cakes with her on weekends for probably 10 years.. I'm trying to think of all the places I've been! =) GL!!
