WW Points Plus - totally discouraged!

Hi - I'm doing the weight watchers online program, completely sticking to it, and barely losing! I go down about .2-.5 per week.  Ughhh. I've done it in the past with great success, but it just isn't working this time.  Any other diet plans out there you'd reccommend?

  • I was doing WW prior to getting pregnant (actually, I was just a few weeks in when I found out when I found out I was pregnant).  I know a lot of people have great success, but didn't feel this was the right fit for me.  I have found that using my fitness pal actually fits better with me...seems more complex than using a point system, but gives me a better overall breakdown of what exactly I am consuming in calories, fat, carbs, protein, etc.

    But too, I want to point out that it does appear you are losing, maybe a little slow to your liking (which, actually, slow weight loss is better than rapid weight loss), but you do appear to be losing.  Are you exercising as well?

  • I have had great success with WW. I love the program and recommend it to everyone. A few things that you may want to consider- Are you eating your extra weekly points? What about your activity points?

    Sometimes not eating enough or eating to much of the 'extra' points will stall your weight loss. It is all about finding the right balance with the points.  Some people can eat them all some people cannot eat them at all.

    I can't agree with this more. Don't forget as long as the number keeps going down, the plan is working!

    This is me as well.

    I found at first I could eat all the bonus points. Now I eat around half the bonus points to maintain the same level of weight loss I had at the beginning.

  • Are you ladies all doing meetings, or just online?  I'm trying to decide whether I want to join WW, or try to just use LoseIt or another calorie type app.  I gotta do something!  :)

    I do it online. I can't imagine trying to make it to a meeting with 2 small children, and no obvious babysitting option.
