A lot of their toys are wooden with food grade dyes used, so pretty safe. I have one of the Skwish things from them. It is pretty cool, but honestly I feel there are plenty of wonderful wood workers on places like Etsy. I also recommend seeing if you can find any local crafts people who make children's toys. It may be a bit pricier, but good, solidly built wood toys will last for generations! Or see if you find anything at antique stores, yard sales, on Craigslist, etc. I really like Plan Toys as well.
