I guess I should count my blessings that I live in an age where I own a swiffer. I just scrubbed my kitchen floor on my hands and knees because two different people told me to do it to get some good contractions going.
Let.Me.Tell.You....don't do it unless you want to start labor. There's no need to get that tired over a dang floor.
On the bright side, my floor is SPOTLESS!!!!
Re: Scrubbing the floors on your hands and knees.
Girl!!! I'm sore, and that only took like 15 minutes. Maybe ten. Maybe less but it felt like an hour.
I have the dry swiffer and the wet swiffer. My wet swiffer has a broken sprayer. I told SO I need a new one next time I see a coupon in the paper for it. Ooooo that reminds me...it's COUPON day!!!!!
I still have the bathroom and the living room IF I decide I want to do that again. OMG...what I'm doing to my body just to get this kid out. But seriously, I don't think my floors have been so clean!!!
I think you're crazy to even get down there! I could get down but I sure as heck could not get back up!! Haha.
I have the wet-jet (which I love it smells so good!!) then I have the regular one that takes wet or dry pads then I have the industrial sized dry one that the builder of my house forgot to take with him when they were done (and since we paid full asking price I felt justified in keeping it).
I would be pissed if the sprayer on mine broke. I love that thing!! Especially since half my house is hardwoods and I use it all the time!!
My bathrooms need to have the floors washed but I am way too pregnant to do that at this point. It's just me so I'm not THAT messy. Once the baby comes out I will be able to maneuver better and therefore wash them. Until then... no.
My dogs got sick when I was about 36wks and I spent 4 days scrubbing diarrhea out of carpet. It sucked but when I went in to my next appt I was 2cm and 70% (had no progress the week before). Good luck Momma! Hope it gets things going for you!

Exactly. I am way too hot to do anything. Lol
Just trying to GET my DH to scrub floors would put me into (at this rate, most likely false) labor!
But now that I look at that kitchen floor....
I cleaned the bathroom floor last night...had contractions for 7 hours anddd then they stopped.
Dare I do the kitchen now? hahah
So apparently I am a freak lol.. I am so old fashioned and grew up watching my parents and grandparents clean the floor on their hands and knees, so guess what??? SO DO I!!!! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I just feel that they are so much cleaner when you do it yourself!!
A couple of months ago we retiled some areas in our home and tiled our living room and hallway, so there's that much more to clean and I bought a swifer.. I've only used it once.
Go ahead ladies.. make fun!
I am a freak but I always do my bathroom and kitchen by hand, the swiffer just doesn't do it for me . . . but our house is also very small!
