The past two years I have done pretty well. I get him 10 shirts and 5+ pairs of shorts. School starts August 1st and it's hot for awhile. My kid is rough on clothes, so there is little that is still *nice* from the summer. I buy 90% of his stuff at TCP. I wait until they have free shipping on all orders, and then I apply a 20% off code (there is always one out there, or they send me one in the mail) on stuff that is already on sale. My goal is to pay less than $5 for each piece. Sometimes I pay $6 or $7 though. All his tops are t-shirts or polos. Later on in the year I add on jeans and long pants as I find them on sale, along with a couple plain long sleeved shirts and hoodies to layer with his t-shirts. Like someone else said, I got socks and underwear on tax-free weekend, although I'm sure I could find a better deal if I looked a bit harder.
