Thoughts on Rosemarie? This was the name of an old family friend and incorporates my mother (Roseanne) and Aunt's (Rose) name as well as my MN (Marie).
I like Rosemary better but Rosemarie is nice too. I also like pp's suggestion of Rosalie Marie. I think pretty much any Rose name, especially as a first name, is refreshing and very pretty.
I like your reasons for using it, and I want to like it, but to me Rosemarie is a combination of two kind of overused names. I guess they're not overused in recent times, but there are lots of women with Rose-type names and Marie/Mary/Maria-type names.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't dislike it, but that it's NMS.

Re: Rosemarie
My first thought was the song, and then the Gwyneth Paltrow's character in Shallow Hal.
Not really my style.
What about Rosalie Marie?
Thanks for the suggestion but we already have a MN picked out.

I cook to much and to often to use Rosemary as a name. It's more of an ingredient too me.
