What does everyone think of the name Greta its my name crush of the moment I don't know if I would use it but I really like it .do you think it's harsh , cute? Wdyt?

I love it! I wanted to use it with DD2 but I couldn't bring myself to have a Hannah and Greta. Too much like Hansel & Gretel.
I would be happy if you used it. I totally love it!

I love Greta. I think it's really cute and old-fashioned.
And it also totally works on its own. It doesn't need to be a nickname for Margaret, which is a much less attractive name.
I love it but friends and family always give me the side eye when I mention it, I think because it's more old-fashioned. I definitely think its one of those oldies about to make a huge comeback though!
Funny how things change in such a short period of time! When I posted about the name "Greta" on here (less than a year ago) most of the feedback was negative. Now it's pretty positive! I ignored everyone and went with Greta anyway.
So I would have to say I love it! I mentioned it to one person (my mom) when I was in the middle of my pregnancy and she said "OH GOD!" like it was the most horrific name she had ever heard. But then a week later she mentioned it had grown on her. So I figured everyone else could shove it and didn't tell anyone else about the name....just pretended we didn't have anything picked out....which we kind of didn't, because we weren't 100% and we were also Team Green. So "she" could have been a "he".
And most likely we will never have to worry about her being "Greta O." or having to go by her last name, due to multiple people in the same grade with the same name. Which I am really happy about!
