So, I'm sure this has been asked, but I've looked through the last several pages and haven't seen anything.
I remember people saying that the Lupron injection is not so nice. My Office has even said if Lupron is not suggested by a doctor, you don't want to ask for it. Is it really that bad? I've done follistim, ganirelix, and POI injects. Anything here comparable? I start the Lupron for FET #1 on Sept. 2nd. TIA
Re: Lupron Injection
I found Lupron to be the easiest of all the shots!

I thought Lupron was one of the easier injections. I used small Insulin syringes, the needles are only about 1" long. The only side effects that I had were that I'd get red, itchy welts if I injected on the left side of my belly button. It I was on the bottom or right side, no problems at all. I bruised with the Follistim and Menopur, but never with the Lupron.
To compare, injections were as easy as Follistim, but needle wasn't as long. Ganirelex had dull needles, so I found that one to be harder to inject. And PIO is long and big. Plus, it's much easier to inject in the belly than in the rear, which is where I have to do PIO.
Good luck!

i have had no trouble with lupron (10 u, insulin syringes) except for a couple of nights.
when i asked on the board, someone suggested i wasn't letting the alcohol dry enough before injecting
she was exactly right! i had gotten so speedy and efficient at prepping everything, the alcohol wasn't dry. now i sing the jeopardy song before injecting and after swabbing and have no further trouble.
good luck!
