Hey Ladies,
I'm 4 weeks pp and feeling good. My tummy is a wee bit sore from time to time, but overall I feel great. I'm back to the normal grind as far as house work and taking care of baby.
I was wondering...how long before I can hit the gym? I wouldn't say that I was an avid runner or anything, but I enjoy the treadmill (light jogging) and elliptical as well as weight training. I know the recovery time is 6-8 weeks, but I'm wondering how long after that will I feel like trying to get back into a fitness routine.
Thoughts?
I hope you are all well:)
Re: Gym/Workout
I just had my 6 week check up this past week and was told I was clear to do everything EXCEPT abdominal work for another 2 months. So I'd say you would be okay to start with a light job at the gym. I would wait until your 6 week check up before you start lifting anything heavier than your LO and the weight of the carseat.
Take it little by little and always wait a day or two after to see how you feel before you increase anything!
