A friend of mine had an emergency c/s yesterday and I'm going to visit her today. I want to bring her some "survival" things that she wouldn't have since it was an unplanned c/s. I thought of a few things that DH had to run out and buy after I had mine, but I know there are more things. Here's my list, what should I add?
Gas-x
stool softener
grannie panties
candy/trail mix (cause everyone needs treats while recovering from surgery)
puzzle book
Re: c/s survival kit?
Can you make her dinner when she gets home? That was greatly appreciated.
I had this pair of maternity yoga pants (from old navy) that have a fold over belly panel. It was nice after my C to roll the belly up to my belly button. It's hard to find pants that don't sit on your incision. Maybe something that she can wear that don't rub on the incision?
Just another thought: is there anyway you can drop them by her house after leaving the hospital so she doesn't have to pack it up and take it home/unpack it? I love that people visited and brought gifts but it was an extra hassle to take them home with everything else when you don't feel great.
A gift card for a restaurant might be nice so her DH can go pick up dinner one night.
I know that's not directly related to a c/s, but I can't really think of anything I'd need that I didn't already have - and neither of my c/s were planned.
