Cloth Diapering

wet bag recs?

So, up until this point I've been using a wet bag that I made. I'm looking now to buy 2 good ones. We will have 2 in cloth for awhile, so will need to hold 4-5 OS diapers? I'm guessing max. Do you prefer one brand over the other? Are any brands overpriced for what they are? TIA for any info!

  • Bummis are my fav. I also have planet wise and they're fine.

  • I would not recommend the Alva wet/dry bag.  The zippers feel super cheap, like they could break at any time.

  • TBH, I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine so I made two 17x19 bags of my own based instructions I found online and they work great. I'm PG with #2 so haven't used them for CD's yet, but I use them to hold things like wet swimsuits after swimming and DD's undies/pants if she has an accident in public. They hold up very well in the wash and dry fairly quickly too. Oh, and they could easily fit 4-5 OS diapers in them (which is why I made that particular pattern). I'd have paid upwards of $30 for the size that I made, but I made two for $24 total plus I have enuff fabric left for a 3rd.

  • Monkey Foot Designs wetbags are great, but a bit pricey.  I also just recently got a wetbag from Petunia's on Etsy that is absolutely adorable, and seems well made.  I just washed it for the first time, so I can't really say how it holds up over time.  Planetwise is more affordable, but I have only used their pail liners.

  • I have multiple Planet Wise wet bags in different sizes and really like them. They work well for me. The medium would hold 4-5 diapers, depending upon how stuff they are. Large would hold at least 7 or 8.

  • I have Kanga Care, Planet Wise, Itzy Ritzy, and Monkey Foot Designs wet bags. I really like all of them except the Planet Wise one. The quality seems inferior to the other brands. MFD bags are expensive, but I snagged one off a daily deal site for almost half off, so keep an eye out for deals.

  • I love my itsy ritzy (wet happened). I hate the Planet wise. They stink like crazy - and if that much stink gets out, how can they be waterproof? The Kanga Care is the cutest thing (but I am not exactly going to be toting dirty diapers on my shoulder like a purse!)
  • I have Planet Wise and Bummis. I like the Planet Wise ones best. My Bummis bag completely delaminated after a couple of washes.
  • I have three Monkey Foot bags off Etsy and I love them, she'll custom make them to match your room if you want.
