We got a call!

We got a phone call today that a BM and BF want to meet us and two other potential AP. as most we are so excited but very nervous too. It was suggested that we bring a card with a small gift like lotion or soap or even a gift card. I feel like I would be leaving the BF out by going the lotion or soap route and don't feel like a gift card is very appropriate either at this point. I was thinking more along the lines of some baked good from our local bakery which we love. That way it is a little more personal but not too personal and can be something the BF could enjoy too. Any thoughts?

    How exciting. I think baked goods and a card are a good idea. That would include both of them. When are you meeting?

    I chuckled myself too. I still think thats insane though.

    Ohhh good luck! I vote for baked goods too!  Everyone loves cookies!

    We took chocolate chip cookies and a photo album to give to dd's birthmom when we met her.  I vote baked goods!  (The photo album was filled with pics - not in our profile - and it gave us lots to talk about.  I gave the album at the end of the visit.)

    ooh good luck!

    I say cupcakes, or maybe a cookie cake. I'd be pretty happy if potential adoptive parents brought either, and it shows that you care about them!

    So exciting! Our agency recommends baked goods, so I agree with PP that that is a safe, appropriate option. Good luck!
