VBAC

Hoping for VBAC

Found out at 40+ weeks that my DD was breech.  Scheduled a c for the next morning.  Never dilated, nor did I show any signs of labor.  Could this be because the baby was breech?  I am worried that I will never go into labor on my own.  TIA for any input!

Re: Hoping for VBAC

  • My c-section was because my daughter was breech as well.  As far as I understand it, the head on the cervix is what helps you dilate so you're unlikely to dilate with a breech baby.  That being said, I never went into labor, so that's just what I've read.

  • Positioning is everything.  If your next baby is head down, you stand a much better chance of going into labor and dilating on your own.  It's not a guarantee though...as I have had two perfectly positioned babies who needed induction to get things going.
