I hate my client

because she reminds me of all the worst parts of my mother and maternal grandmother.  I think I mostly hate her because I'm terrified that that is my fate as well.

I kind of feel like an azzhole but I can't help it. '

You are not going to turn into your mother or grandmother.

Your client is the jerk, not you.   I don't even need to know the backstory to know this is true.

My mother once told me that what we hate about other people is really the things we hate about ourselves. She also said whatever drives you crazy about your mother, you will become. 

But I think there's a little more free will than that. I think you can defeat those "inner demons." It's just a lot of work, sometimes. I believe this because my own mother, who said those things to me when I was small, was able to change herself and not do the things that drove her crazy about her own mother.
