I found out two weeks ago I have a ripped placenta. However, this past monday We seen the heart beat and it was really fast. I am worried though, one day I will stop bleeding then I will randomly bleed the next few days. I am scared to move; is anyone else having this problem?
Re: ripped placenta
I'm so sorry you're dealing with the stress. I'm not a doctor, but here's my take:
The placenta is still growing, so it can heal. However, it is important that you take it very easy (I'm sure your doctor told you all this). Stay positive, try to keep your feet up, and focus on you and the baby.
Best of luck.
Yep, I started bleeding 2 weeks ago, and went in the next day for an u/s. Baby had a good heartbeat. My OB phoned me right away to tell me I had a tear in my placenta, and that I needed to be basically on "modified" bed rest for a couple weeks. No lifting, no exercise, no long shopping trips, no housework etc. She said the bleeding might stop and then randomly start again, so not to worry. She mentioned that seeing a hb was a fantastic sign and that it reduces the chance of mc dramatically. The bleeding/spotting stopped in about a week and it's been fine. My OB said that I only needed to watch for fevers or if I had severe pain/bleeding to go to emergency.
Just continue to rest and let your placenta heal. It's scary, I know, and frustrating not being able to do much. But, it's for baby.
