It was incredibly popular for a while. I have lived in three different states and in everyone I met quite a few girls with this name and it's varients.

Not popular in my area. I went to high school with a girl by the name of Mackenzie. My niece's middle name is Mackenzie.

I know at least 4. A newborn, a toddler, a high schooler, and an adult. I am not a fan but it's a perfectly acceptable name.

OMG, will we ever allow Mackenzie to disappear into obscurity? Yes, I know tons of Mackenzies. Tons and tons, most of whom are about 10-years-old. It's an awful, dated name that needed to go the way of the dinosaur five years ago. I can't believe anyone would be considering it in 2012.

Not so much in the city, but in the suburbs it is...or at least was. I taught daycare so that may have something to do with it.

Side Note: I miss Chicago and Northern IL in general.

I have never known a single one of any age. I believe it's still popular in other countries as well. Although you won't get too many people liking it on this board, if you like it then I would use it.

It is most popular (top 40) in Kansas, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maine, and West Virginia.

It is least popular in Utah and North Dakota (not in top 200).

Yup. I know at least a dozen. I think it is terrible.

It's still super popular in my area.  The oldest I know is 19, all the way down to toddlers.  Most that I know personally are spelled McKenzie, though.

Agreed. I know so many from about age 10-17. It was super trendy for a while. It's a 50-50 mix boy/girl, same with Taylor.
