The pedi started baby girl on zantac today for reflux.  I have her the first dose .8ml around 5pm.  She's cried nonstop since then, which is totally not like her.  Anyone have any experience with this?  I'm not sure it's related or not.

    I'm sorry.  Could it be that she doesn't like the taste of it?  I've never had a problem giving my daughter zantac.

    No, I've never heard of that - I'd give it a few more doses to see if it's related to the Zantac. She might just have been experiencing reflux. It takes a week or so to start working. 

    I'm sorry she was sad :(

    I agree with pp, if you didn't try it the first time I give dd her dose right before a feeding, so that the taste gets out of her mouth. Hope age is feeling better soon!

    Its hard to say. DS started having bad reflux at about 6 weeks.  We started him on Zantac, with increasing doses for about 4 weeks until we realized it wasnt working.  So needless to say, his reflux continued to get worse, and so did his crying :(.  After his very first dose of Prevacid, he was sleeping "like a baby".
