We are working with two agencies for our adoption: one for our home study and one as our placing agency. Placing agency is stellar and we love them. Home study agency is less so; they got the job done but that's the best thing I can say about them.
Our home study CW needed us to sign something today, so she was going to meet us at our place at 1pm. 1pm rolls around and DH gets a phone call from her, "So I'm driving down XYZ street- where do I turn?"
XYZ street is in another city about 45 minutes away. DH tells her she needs to get back on the highway. CW sounds confused, so DH reminds her what city we live in. CW says, "Oh no did you move! That's going to be a big problem with your home study. We have a lot of work to do now."
Um, no. We did not move. You forgot where we live. I can understand being on the wrong end of town or forgetting what street, but how do you forget what city we live in?! We spend 10+ hours with this lady over the winter and spring, and she has been to our house. I am so, so glad our home study is done because I have zero faith left in this lady. We will complete our post adoption checks with her over the next few years, but I am secretly hoping she retires or gets a new job soon. Yikes.
