Late Term and Child Loss

lane's ashes.

we went to pick up baby lane's ashes yesterday. we are not very stable right now as far as where we are living,  we are going over the road (dh is a trucker and took an otr position and i am going with him) so i am leaving lane's ashes at my mama's house. she put them on a built in book case type thing in her livng room in between two angel figurines. i will get them but for now i feel they are safe there. i did well with getting his ashes, i expected to be a wreck but i am glad we have him in our posession. i handled it well. also dh asked if we were keeping them or spreading them somewhere..that's when i kinda got defensive and upset. i do not ever want to spread his ashes anywhere i always want them. for now anyways. i can't imagine spreading them and never having a part of him again. that's all i really wanted to share with yall..that we picked him up yesteday.      :)

Re: lane's ashes.

  • I am glad that it wasn't too hard for you. If your husband wants to spread them and you want to keep a part of him always, they make beautiful jewelry that you can put some of his ashes in and wear with you always. I know someone else mentioned thy they had put some of the ashes into a teddy bear that they hugged whenever they reallyissed their baby. Just some suggestions so that you both can feel comfort.
