Just off Birth Control

My husband and I have recently made the decision to start TTC.  We decided to wait until after I had completed my current month's pack.  My first day offically off of birth control was 7/29 and I have been experiencing stomach cramping on/off since 8/1.  Has anyone else had a sililar expeience with stopping brith control?

sounds like AF is coming! I was on BCP for 16 years and I forgot how painfull periods were. It sounds normal! GL and welcome!

I felt awful coming off BCP this time around!  I didn't remember feeling so bad before getting pregnant with #1 and #2, but I was actually concerned enough this time around to call my doc a couple of times.  There were points each month when my cramping was so bad I actually thought I had a UTI.  Good luck!

I had the same thing when I stopped taking my birth control. I have experienced again the cramps and somewhat irregular periods. I hope this is normal but yes I have experienced the same thing. I finished my last pill pack in 02/2012. Good luck!!

I have been going through the same thing! I am 22 years old and stopped taking my birth control last month the last day of my period last month July 14 and today is now August 10. I feel like I have tricked my body into thinking its pregnant since I have been looking at all the symptoms I'm having. Constipated, light brown discharge but no period, headaches, nausea if I have an empty stomach and frequent urination. My boyfriend and I use no protection and are trying. I do not know if my body is just getting use to being off the pill or If I'm pregnant. I have taken three HPT and all three were negative but I'm not sure if it's to early or not. Someone please help! Hoping for pregnancy

Dancer90- This is my first post ever but I had to respond to you .  I am going through the exact same thing to you (even the dates are similar!!)  only I'm a bit older then you   I have taken a few tests and all 3 were negative yet, I'm about a week and a half late.  I also feel like I'm "tricking" myself to thinking I may be pregnant but I honestly just want to know the answer!!  I'm going to the doctor on Wednesday and asking for blood work so that I can get a definant answer since I've read that some people just don't have enough hormone in their systems to show a + sign.  This probably didn't help you, but just know that you are not alone.  Let me know what happens!!  Good luck!!

I had very similar things going on.  I stopped taking the pill in June - got my last period June 10th.  Around the 4th of July I had horrible cramping for several days and thought I was getting my period, but didn't.  I took a pregnancy test and it was negative.  (Turns out in hindsight that this was my body firing up again after 15 years on the pill.)  I apparently then ovulated around 7/11, conceived right away, and got a positive pregnancy test on 7/21.  I'll be 9 weeks along tomorrow...
