mucus plug question

How long after you lose your plug do you go into labor? I've been having contractions and pressure but not real labor.

Anywhere from a few hours to a few days/weeks.

My water broke thursday night and I lost my mucus plug thursday morning.

its honestly just different for everyone. Ive been losing mine for three weeks now. it just keeps regenerating itself. your bloody show will be a better indication.

this. For me it was 2.5 weeks.

Boo! With both of my previous pregnancies, I lost it in labor the first time, and then right after my water broke the second time. I guess I'm just confused becasue that didn't happen lol! Also, at my appt last week Thursday, doc said I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced...I guess I should stop waking up everyday and hoping today is the day huh??? lol

This is my 3rd pregnancy and have never "lost my mucus plug" or had a "bloody show" I'm just forced to wait for my water to break or intolerable contractions to start for me to know its time to go!
