solids and sleep?

Just in the last week, we've started being much more consistent with solids. We also, after doing only BLW (little of which was getting swallowed), introduced some pureed squash and she INHALED it like it was crack or the most delicious ice cream or something (this was at DH's insistance/felt like she "wasn't getting anything" with BLW and I'm ok with doing a little of both).

This weekend, her sleep was horrible, up all the time, etc. Yesterday we had a major diaper blow-out and last night she passed gas louder than anything I've ever heard come out of a human (and it didn't wake her up, btw - haha).

Anybody see relationships between introducing/increasing solids, tummy issues, and sleep? She doesn't seem like her tummy's bothering her during the day, but maybe that's what's keeping her up at night?

Re: solids and sleep?

  • Her belly just might get irritated by something she ate.  Back off of whatever you gave her for a while, and reintroduce it in a few weeks (in small amounts).

Our DS sleeps better with solids, so I'd say either growth spurt or belly troubles.

Mine had some increased gas issues the first few weeks on solids but it seems to have passed now. But as someone else mentioned, she might be having a reaction to something she ate.
