Did you experience any spotting? I'm having some brown spotting this morning. DD2 nursed more than usual last night, and I'm wondering if they're correlated.

DD1 weaned the month before I conceived DD2, so this is my first experience nursing while pg.

Also, would you call your OB? I haven't made my first appointment yet. (They don't see patients until 8 weeks anyway.) From what I've found online, brown spotting is normal, and there's not really anything that the doctor can do anyway.

I spotted at the 4-5wk mark with both of my pregnancies. Of course with the first I wasn't nursing but I was this time. I would say it's more likely to be some sort of implantation spotting and not related to nursing unless you have a history of preterm labor and/or are cramping quite a bit. If you feel worried call but I'm not sure I would if spotting was the only symptom. Of course I say that as someone who spotted with both pregnancies.

I've never had spotting in either pregnancy, including the current one that I've been nursing through. I think it could be tooootally normal though, but if it'll help you feel better to call your OB, by all means do so! That's what they're there for! Good luck to you!!

I had spotting once with each pregnancy right around getting my BFP. I wouldn't think it's related to nursing; brown spotting is pretty common and usually is just something to make you worry vs. something actually being wrong. I probably wouldn't call but I tend not to call for much of anything. I think they would just tell you what you already know and to keep an eye on it.

I had implantation spotting around that time with my first pregnancy. I'm betting that's what this is for you, but always call your doctor if you are concerned! I have nursed through this pregnancy and did not experience any spotting.
