Hi all, I'm new here! Just started TTC last month (newly married and 38 years old). I bought the clearblue easy digital fertility monitor for this cycle. On Saturday morning I got a positive LH surge, a negative on Sunday, and then a positive again this morning. I am a little confused- thought the surge would last about 2 days not happen intermittently for 3. I guess I am just wondering if anyone has had this happen over the course of several days. I tested first thing upon waking up.
Thanks everyone!!!

Hi and welcome! It sounds like you're using the digital ovulation predictor kit (OPK), not the fertility monitor. I have the monitor and it costs about $150 + sticks, and it doesn't give you smiley faces.
As PP said, it's a little electronic device that will tell you if you're at low, high, or peak fertility.
Anyways, as far as what's going on with your OPK's, the surge can last a few days, but the first day is really what you care about. After that you don't really even need to test anymore. Also, your results could vary depending on the time of day you're testing (some people get better results in the AM, others in the afternoon or evening).

Those are the Clearblue easy digital OPKs, the CBE fertility monitor is something different.
It's possible that your urine was a little more dilute for the negative test. Or it could be your LH levels dropped then went back up. I'd just assume you were in your fertile window. GL!

This. The negative smiley in between was probably just due to diluted urine. Get busy.
