I had my RE appointment today to discuss the PGD results and officially start my FET cycle. So, the lab marked 3 of the embryos as normal, but one had one chromosome with only 75% confidence (question of Ch. 22 disomy). RE discussed possibilities for that including mosaicism in the region that the biopsy was taken, but still recommended only using that embryo as a last resort. I'm ok with that.
We discussed transfer of one versus two embryos and I told him I wanted to give each embryo the best chance possible. I told him my concerns regarding twins versus being even older if we implant one, are successful and then implant the other later. He essentially told me that the risks of pregnancy with twins is higher than the risks of a singleton pregnancy at an older age and so recommended transferring one, then later another one. That's what we are going with.
I start estrace and baby ASA tomorrow and go off the pill on Thursday. Plan is for ET around Sept 5. Now, DH and I have to decide if we'll choose girl or boy or "best" (if there is a best out of the two - they are going to get me those stats on Monday). On the PGD report the girl had all 99% confidence and was ranked the highest. The boy had one or two 97% and the rest 99% confidence. So, we'll see what we decide!
ETA: The bad news: DH has a torn disc that we had diagnosed yesterday. He's had this before, at the same level and had surgery to trim the disc. Well, the other side ruptured and he's having severe pain. Looks like there's surgery in his future again.

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
