    A banana split has one full banana, sliced in two vertically. One scoop each of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice creams. Toppings include strawberry compote, fudge (not chocolate syrup), and marshmallow cream, whipped cream, toasted nuts (not your SO's) and maraschino cherries.

    Lol! And I agree. Except sometimes SO's nuts go very nicely with a good banana split.

    According to DQ pineapple is part of the banana split, and well, how can you argue with DQ? I however, prefer to do without pineapple.
