Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Anyone use a Graco Travel Lite?

I'm trying to decide what bassinet to get for DD. We used a second hand bassinet for DS, but we only kept him in our room for 8 weeks and even then he was getting kind of cramped. Since our kids will be sharing a room, we will likely keep DD with until she's sleeping longer at night (not sure how long... hopefully before 6 months). I thought about getting an Arm's Reach, but the Graco Travel Lite is quite a bit less and has cuter patterns. So, if you used a Travel Lite, what did you think? How long did your LO fit in it comfortably? I know it has a 20 lb. weight limit but I'm wondering more about length/width.

  • We used it as our 'bassinet'. DS was only in our room 8 weeks and then we used it when we traveled. DS is 75 percentile for height and we were able to use it up till he was 8 months.

Ok thanks. I've read mixed opinions online about how long LO's were fitting in them. I just didn't want her to outgrow it at like 4 months. Do you think at 6 months a baby would still have some room in there or would it be pretty tight?

  • There wouldn't be much room for her to roll around in it. If I was using it every night I'd go with the regular size pack n play.

  • We just replaced ours with a full size PNP because she was pretty much teaching at head and toes when she slept in it. But we only used it for the occasional nap at friend's houses, not every night, so we waited a while longer.

  • We used it for daily night use before making the transition to the crib at like 4 months or so, but I would def recommend a thin but firm mattress pad to go on top of what they give you. We used one. That board they provide is super hard, like beyond the firm requirement for babies....IMO
