What thermometer do you use and do you like it? We received one as a gift, but it's an ear thermometer for babies 6 months plus. We have been using an under the arm one from the hospital but it takes forever!!! I want one that takes a quick reading!

Re: Rec. your thermometer
Safety First makes a great 3-in-1 digital thermometer. It has three removable interchangeable tips: underarm, rectal, and oral. Each is shaped for its proper use- underarm looks like a paddle with the sensor on one side, rectal only allows you to insert it the required amount by making it too big to go too far and the oral is like your regular thermometer. We love it and it never takes more than 60 seconds to get a reading.
I got it off of amazon, but I think they carry it at target too.
I bought a temporal artery thermometer on Amazon. It is the same kind they used on us at the hospital and (in studies) readings highly correlates with rectal temps.
I just got it today.
We also have the temporal artery thermometer but our pedi said he doesn't recommend it's usage on infants because it's not as accurate, however, I took LO's temp and she had a fever and it was exactly the same at the dr. I still use it but I also use the rectal and underarm, too. I like to have my bases covered!
